The supplication of the second Secretary General of Hezbollah, sayyed Abbas al-Musawi:
"My Lord... If You insist on treating me with Your justice and holding me accountable for the misdeeds committed with everyone of my limbs, I demand that You grant me a purified martyrdom, which I personally choose as an atonement for my sin; a martyrdom with rare equals, with which my body is shredded and everyone of my limbs receives the punishment and penalty it deserves, and after which, my Lord, it becomes definite that You inhabit me near You and near your saints. I say definite because of my belief in Your justice not to mention my belief in Your kindness."
- -- Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi
The rogue prayer invented (Arabic: بدعة) by sayyed Abbas gave rise to an entire generation of Hezbollah martyrdom bombers (i.e., suicide bombers). His prayer became a favorite among the Hezbollah youths, some of whom live among us in the United States. The Lord granted sayyed Abbas his wish: He was "martyred" on February 16, 1992, when Israeli combat helicopters destroyed his motorcade with Hellfire rockets, killing him, his wife, and four others. On March 17, 1992, Hezbollah retaliated to the assassination of its local boss (the real boss, Ayatollah Khamenei, lives in Tehran, Iran) by bombing the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 29 and wounding 242. True to the prayer of Abbas, the attacker conducted the deadly assault as a martyrdom operation (Arabic: عملية إستشهادية), whereby his "body [was] shredded and everyone of [his] limbs received the punishment and penalty it deserved!" Too bad, explosives were not invented and available during the time of the Prophets of God...
Contrast the prayer of Abbas with an authentic Qur'anic supplication (the Word of God): "Our Lord, grant us in this world a favorable outcome (or good turn), and in the hereafter a favorable outcome, and safeguard us from the torture of Hellfire."
